Lifelong Friendship Inspires
the Lords of Sunnymead Foundation
Our new website introduces a foundation dedicated to protecting natural habitats and supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families.
A friendship that began in Sunnymead, California, in the 1960s is opening a new chapter of community service.
The Lords of Sunnymead Foundation has launched its website, introducing a philanthropic mission that brings together two priorities: protecting biodiversity and supporting community organizations serving neurodivergent individuals, people facing mental health challenges, and their families.
The foundation was established by lifelong friends who grew up in Sunnymead, now part of Moreno Valley in Southern California’s Inland Empire. Their careers took them into fields including wealth management, education, environmental activism, law, construction, property management, and renewable energy. Today, they are bringing that collective experience to a shared commitment to giving back.
At the heart of the foundation’s approach is connecting donors with grassroots organizations. Its goal is to help people direct their generosity toward community efforts that reflect their values and encourage sustainable, self-reliant solutions.
That vision remains closely connected to the landscape of the founders’ childhoods. The nearby San Jacinto Wildlife Area, a stopover for birds along the Pacific Flyway, represents one focus of the foundation’s conservation interests. Preserving wildlife habitat, native plants, and open spaces is central to its environmental mission.
Equally central is a commitment to people. The foundation seeks to support local organizations providing services and understanding for neurodivergent individuals and those facing mental health challenges, while recognizing the needs of their families.
These priorities share a common thread: helping communities thrive by supporting the people and places that need care.
The new website offers an introduction to the foundation’s origins, mission, and vision. As the organization develops, it provides a public starting point for people interested in learning about its work and philanthropic approach.
For the friends behind the Lords of Sunnymead Foundation, this next chapter carries a connection to the place where their story began—and an opportunity to extend that sense of community to others.
